Marching with Aunt Susan: Susan B. Anthony and the Fight for Women’s Suffrage

In this story, a young girl named Bessie wants to go hiking, but girls aren’t allowed to hike. She learns there are lots of things girls aren’t allowed to do in 1896 and so, when Susan B. Anthony comes to town to protest for women’s sufferage, she decides to join in, learning a lot along the way from Anthony and the other marchers. This book is based on the diary of a real ten-year-old girl. There are many books about voting, but its unique approach makes this book stand out.
