A lesser known book from the author of the Frog and Toad books, we love Small Pig. And we feel for him when the farmer’s wife vacuums up all his mud, sending him out into the world in search of a suitable puddle. The illustrations are pretty hysterical, almost tongue in cheek, and the Small Pig is so very, very endearing. Introduced to us by one of our brothers-in-law, who remembers it fondly from childhood. A winner.
