In this classic folktale, a little girl loses a mitten in the woods, and that lost mitten turns out to be the perfect shelter for some animals. In this story, the animals are sweet and compassionate, making room for each other so they can all be safe from the cold. Although there are many versions of this story, the illustrations here make this one a favorite of ours.
